Chick care

We also have a video on how to take care of your chicks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGN7RDTxwkI
Sexing chicks
At this time, we sell our chicks as straight run, meaning they are unsexed. Typically, half of the chicks will be male and half will be female, however, results can vary.
If you would like a specific gender, we can sell you an older pullet or cockeral, if we have them available.
Another option is that you can place a custom order for us to incubate hatching eggs and raise the chicks to eight weeks old before you receive them.
Vaccinations
When purchasing chicks from us, they are not vaccinated unless you request that they are.
We are happy to vaccinate the birds you are purchasing, We will acquire the vaccine of your choice and administer it, however, the cost of that vaccine will be your responsibility.
Shipping Hatching Eggs
We are National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) certified which means we are able to ship hatching eggs internationally. However, each state has its own list of requirements necessary to fulfill prior to shipping hatching eggs.
At this time, we do not ship to Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
We are a small farm, so at this time we are only shipping to states that do not require Avian Influenza testing and health certificates for each shipment. Our flock is tested once yearly for Avian Influenza and have tested negative, Blood testing the whole flock prior to every shipment would be stressful for our birds. We apologize for the inconvenience.
