Have you every wondered which is better? Compressed hay or regular hay? My vote is for compressed hay and I will share with you the three reasons why it is better than regular hay.
Reason #1
Compressed hay bales are dense yet smaller in size which makes them easier to maneuver. Regular hay is large and cumbersome.
Reason #2
You can store more bales of compressed hay due to the smaller, more compact sizes.
Reason #3
Compressed hay bales last longer because you get more hay in each compact hay bale.
What about the cost?
Compressed hay bales cost more but they last longer. The cost ended up being the same cost per day when I factored in cost and how long each bale lasted. Check out the video above to see the cost breakdown.
Bonus reason
You can fill up your hay bag with a compressed bale of hay less frequently than a regular bale of hay. Less manual labor. Yes, please!
